The Respiratory working group of the Spanish PICU society was created in Cádiz during the annual PICU meeting in 2001. Since then, the group has organized numerous mechanical ventilation courses, several multicenter studies and published a number of scientific articles.
In order to facilitate and contribute to multicenter studies , the group has financed the development of this tool, NIVresearch.net, and its maintenance for a year. This is a dataweb page to collect data for NIV studies. NIVresearch.net has been developed by Dr Teresa Gili, Alberto Medina and Martí Pons.
We hope that its user-friendliness, will make it a useful tool and consequently, its usefulness will create the need for maintaining it active with the collaboration/partnership of its users.
